5th week..

I was given a new work, so im not a frontliner for the whole week. What i did was organize the SARBOX, (ako lang gumagawa ng sarbox, nyahahaha). SARBOX is a requirement of PLDT to be able to maintain it membership in the stock market of US, it is a law by two senators in US namely Sarbanes and Oaxley(its too long for me to tell the whole story behind that SARBOX, so basta it a requirement). We partially submitted the SARBOX last wednesday, were not yet done, ^_^wheew! By the way, SARBOX consist of test plans of the company, 14 test plan i think, and then the screen shot of some accounts in the ICMS. I also did the duplicate and file copy of each test plan of the SARBOX. Mam Anja gave me a some like Manual rather a sample test plan, she told me to read it and try to understand. I was impressed by the that test plan, hahaha And then Mam MAbel tease me, she said that the test plan "job"(its reading the test plan) is only given to selected employees who have a broad understanding ^_^(i was bit flattered)

I also did some overtime this week, because i helped in preparing and filing the report that PLDT lucena needs to submit, its pretty easy, because all we did was sort out the photocopied report and arrange them in order, i also faxed some documents to be copied to a computer, well they used a fax machine to directly send a soft copy to Mam Anja's computer, it called Faxination .

anna, me, Ma'am Miles and Ma'am Mabel this was i think about 5:00 in the aftrnoon. Just before we go home, nagkukulitan lang kami... hahahaha ^_^

4th week

my fourth week..... ganun parin as always.. hmmmmm... pero mas feel ko, na comfortable na ako sa mga supervisors dito... nabibiro-biro ko na sila.. hmmm... i have lots of work for this week.. grabe.. akala ko tapos na ako sa OR series... but then, when Ma'am Anja called me, she showed me the answer of Palawan (Palawan OR's kasi ang inaayos ko, so yon..) they claim na naipadala na nila lahat ng OR dito sa lucena.. So what i did is, i asked JB's help again... Inulit namin ung ginawa namin.. We have a little problem, kasi nakita namin na may mali kaming na-enter na amount... so ang nangyari, hindi na kami nabalanse.. Parang un ang ginawa namin the whole weel. Whenever namamahinga ako sa OR series, nag-pa-fax ako.. or nagpa-frontline ako.
I Haven't finished yet ung Palawan cards, coz last Friday, may priority akong task, SARBOX. Wala pa akong masyado background about it. Pinaprint lang at pinarecheck sakin ni Ma'am Anja ung File ng SARBOX the whole day ng friday.


MAs comfortable na ako sa work ko, unlike before na parang mahiyain pa and di pa masyado maka-lapit sa mga workers duon. Happy ako coz' madame na ko ''ka-close''. Ang madami ako natutunan sa kanila. Nalulungkot ako, coz' malapit na matapos ang OJT, hahaha mamiss ko lahat ng supervisor ko... NagpaPlan ako mag-extend, kasi parang di ko matatapos ung ginagawa ko, ayoko naman na umalis ng basta na lang. Gusto ko sana, maaccomplish ko muna un last task ko before i leave. We have Planned our OJT graduation, it will be held on May 18,2007. Our fellow trainees make a program.. Mukhang magiging memorable ang summer ko, hahaha :)
Im satisfied sa performance ko sa Office, but i do hope mas maging ok pa..:)

3rd week OJT

whew! this week is very exhausting. I continued my unfinished work last week. I sat at the computer the whole day of monday. Ma'am Anja told me that the amount of sales that are in the deposit slip that I hold should be the same with the amount of the physical OR that I hold. After summing up the total of the physical OR series that I hold, sad to say pero hindi nabalance. I made a summary nung total, first summary ko short ako ng 9,000 sa total. So there's no other choice for me but to re-check the OR series, and I did, short pa din ako. So i decided to report to Ma'am Anja, and finally sabi nya, "I think you need some help. Mahirap talaga yang ginagawa mo.", so tinawag ko JB para tulungan ako mag re-check. Iniisa-isa namin ung mga OR then may nakita kami na hindi ko na encode, sa wakas, nagbalance na. Wednesday ko na natapos ung pag babalance ng OR, the following day, Ma'am anja told me if i could make her a new file with the OR series in a new format para madali ma-distinguish ung mga missing OR's. buong araw ko ginawa 'yon. May fellow OJT tease me, sabi nila "Nakakulong na naman ako sa bartolina ko" (hahaha) Coz i spend most of my time sa isang corner nung office, as in duon lang ako the whole day. Even my supervisor,si Sir Dennis, niloloko ako hindi na daw nya ako kilala. Kasi days before ako hiramin ni Ma'am Anja, palagi ako andun sa "tindahan namen"(tawag namin dun sa frontline, un lage ang sinasabi sa min ni Sir eh). Anyway, after printing my work, pinagFile naman ako ni Ma'am nung mga OR na ginamit ko. Happy naman si Ma'am sa output ng mga pinapagawa nya sakin. Sabi pa nya "Always do your work professionally, kasi dito makikita kung ano ang personality mo ". According to her, she was amazed kasi nagtyaga ako mag-isaisa ng mga OR's kasi sobrang dami nun. It was a pleasure for me, kasi na-appreciate niya ung effort na ginawa ko. ^_^ After which, i went back sa bartolina ko ^_^ i made an update sa ginawa kong Vacation Leave summary. And that's a wrap. hehehe For me. stressful ang week na to.. at the same time, e happy.

No call outs for this day.. (yehey!!!)Nag-file ako ng mga receipts at naghanap ako ng mga nwawalang receipts ng payment ng home rewards card. After Lunch, i stayed in the front line, assisting cutomers who will pay their bills/inquire about their accountsa. And i helped JB in printing the rebates.

April 17,2007

Still No call outs for this day(YEHEY!!!!). Mam Anja called me up, she asked me to view the accounts of the customers who have complaints about their services. It is on excel format, so no problem for me, (kasi madali lang naman). I used the I.C.M.S in viewing the memo of the accounts of the customers. I have to update Mam Anja's file on excel, para malaman nya kung na-encode na ung complain nung mga customers, para alam nila kung magkano ang ibabawas sa service fee nung customer. It took me the whole day para matapos.

April 18, 2007
Mam Anja gave me the file of the Vacation Leave of each employee of PLDT. She asked me to encode the dates and reasons of the employees, so that she'll have a guide. After which, she asked me to a summary of that file. I showed her my work, and i am happy because she appreciates what i did and told me that she likes the output of the summary that i did.

April 19 to April 20, 2007
Mam Anja called me up again, she showed me the transactions and receipts of the sales in Palawan. She told me that I have to arrange the series of the OR number, so that she'll know which receipt is missing. At first she gave a me 5 pages of summary of sales attached with it are the receipts of each transactions. I finished it before lunch time, and then she gave me 3 brown envelops, full of receipts and summary of sales. She said that I have to do the same with those receipts. I was not able to finish it within 2 days, so hopefully by tuesday i'll be able to finish it.


On my 2 weeks stay at PLDT, i was able to adjust myself to a corporate type setting. I always go to office as early as i can, as in 30 minutes before the office open, i am already logged in at the guard's log book, unlike when in school (i am always late). I also make sure that i always do well in the task that is assigned to me. I was also able to negotiate with our customer, as if I was a long time employee of PLDT. I was able to control my temper, whenever an angry customer approaches our table. I also felt the king of tiredness i never felt before, :) it was totally different, comparing the tiredness i felt after my accoungting subject last semester. Sometimes,when i got home, i fell asleep at our sofa. :)

It was indeed a different experience for me. I am happy and learning. I hope my few more weeks of stay at PLDT will continue to give me things to remember when i have my work, about the how's, the do's and the dont's when working. :)

first 4 days in PLDT

April 10' 07
We had our orientation with Ms. Anja at the PLDT traffic room. All of the trainees are there, including those who are from other schools, (SLSU, MSEUF main, MSEUF Candelaria). We are then grouped, mixed with the other schools, then we are given actrivities to do with our group. The orientation last until 12:30, we took our lunch. We are instructed to go be back at 1:00, so that Ma'am Anja can endorse us to our designated assignments and supervisors. I was assigned in the BUSINESS OFFICE handled by MR. DENNIS ZOLETA.

April 11 - 13
I am a front liner in the Business office, we are in charge of checking the accounts of each customer. During these 3 days, i am able to assist customers regarding there payments, viewed the accounts through the ICMS (a program of pldt to have access to the accounts of each customer), i was able to do the call-out for 2days(magahapon of theursday and friday)Call-outs is done to the customers who are not paying their bills. i experience a 2 whole day telebabad as we termed it. hehehehe i can feel my ears, it burning... hahaha(kidding) actually, it a good experience for me. i have lots of fun. and i am able to adjust sa mga tao na makakasama ko for a number of weeks.
